Consulting
Let's make your rental one they can't wait to book again.
After thirty-some stays in other people's vacation rentals, I've learned the gap between a good review and a great one is rarely about money — it's the little things nobody thinks to fix. I'd love to help you find yours.
I'm JuLee, the founder of Travel Sauce. I've spent years as a guest in other people's rentals — noticing what makes a stay feel effortless and five-star, and what quietly sends guests home a little disappointed. I write about it, I obsess over it, and now I help owners put it to work. Most of what moves the needle costs very little; it just takes a fresh set of well-traveled eyes.

Either way, you'll get a clear, friendly written report of specific, low-cost improvements — prioritized so you know exactly where to start.
Remote Review
I look at everything a potential guest sees before they book — your listing and description, your photos, where you're advertised, your social, and your website if you have one — and tell you, warmly and honestly, what's working and what small changes would help most.
- Full review of your listing, photos & channels
- A prioritized written report of easy, low-cost fixes
- Quick wins you can make this week
- Done entirely remotely — anywhere you are
Onsite Review
Everything in the Remote Review — and then I come stay in your rental, just like one of your guests. I experience the arrival, the first morning, the kitchen, the little frustrations and delights first-hand, and send you a report of inexpensive changes that lift your reviews and bring guests back.
- Everything in the Remote Review
- An in-person stay & first-hand guest-experience audit
- A detailed written report with room-by-room notes
- Priced to your location & home size — just ask
How it works
Say hello
Tell me about your rental and which review fits. For an Onsite, I'll send a simple quote.
I take a look
I review everything remotely — and for an Onsite, I come stay and experience it as a guest would.
You get your report
A clear, friendly write-up of specific improvements, ranked by impact and cost. Yours to keep.
The math is friendly.
Most of what I'll suggest costs a little and pays back a lot. One extra repeat booking — or a few more dollars a night — usually more than covers the review itself.
Prefer to start small? A Travel Sauce kit is the easiest five-star upgrade there is.

What exactly do I get?
A written report — clear, friendly, and specific — listing the improvements I'd make, ranked by how much they'll help and how little they'll cost. It's yours to keep and work through at your own pace.
Do you make the changes for me?
This is advice, not a renovation service. I'll hand you a practical roadmap you (or your cleaner/handyperson) can act on. Most changes are small and quick.
How is the Onsite Review priced?
It depends on where your rental is (whether I can drive or need to fly) and how big it is (I like to really settle in and experience it). Tell me about your place (location, booking link) and I'll send a custom quote based on location and rental size.
Where are you based / how far will you travel?
I'm in Virginia and happy to travel. Drivable properties keep costs lowest, but I'm glad to talk about any destination. I've traveled extensively — the Caribbean, Hawaii, both the east and west coasts of the U.S., and Europe. I won't claim to be an expert on travel in Asia.
My place is already pretty nice. Is this still worth it?
Often that's exactly when a fresh, well-traveled set of eyes helps most — the last 10% is what turns a good review into a raving one. Or a current guest into a repeat guest.
Let's talk about your rental.
Tell me a little about your place and I'll be in touch to get you started.
